Light in the Dark:  Healing Humanity from Within

My heart is absolutely shattered by the events that have unfolded lately.  The multiple children killed in violent school shootings, the stabbing of Iryna Zarutska, and the murder of Charlie Kirk.  And its totally possible that I’m missing some other horrific events because I tend to make a point of staying away from the news- it’s underlying messages are ones that, in my opinion, spread fear, and sometimes misinformation to propagate that fear.  I don’t like vibrating in the frequency of fear. I prefer Love.

But I was slammed in the face by the latest events and it broke me.  It broke me because instead of mourning and coming together as a country over what I would think would be a universal grievance, I noticed that people were cheering and applauding….not the school shootings, nor the stabbing- but the murder of Charlie Kirk.  How is that possible?  How can we lose our humanity so much that we selectively decide that certain people “should” die?  That certain people, simply because we disagree with their opinions, should be KILLED?

I’m constantly reminded of the quote “hurt people hurt others,” and “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.”  There is apparently a LOT of HURT right now.  There is a LOT of PAIN that we (collectively) are feeling if people are happy to see someone else’s life ripped from them in front of their wife and small children.

To me, this isn’t a political issue.  I don’t prefer to talk about politics as I personally think the whole system is broken ON BOTH SIDES, and that we have collectively become too polarized to even have open, honest, respectful debates (as proven by Charlie Kirk’s death).  It’s a hate, pain, and suffering issue.  There is so much hate and pain in this world that it’s being propagated in an unending cycle.  It festers in each individual until something triggers it, projecting it onto others.

If you feel scared or worried or hurt or angry right now, then thats normal and ok.  But feel it, process it, and release or transmute it.  Don’t let it fester and build.

Please for the love of humanity, learn to love yourselves.  “When you unconditionally love yourself it is easy to express the idea of unconditional love.  If you find yourself having difficulty expressing the idea of unconditional love then there is some aspect of yourself you are not loving unconditionally” (Bashar). Identify what is triggering you and what hate you might be harboring.  Love yourselves so that what is projected onto others is a reflection of that love….. Each of us individually has the ability and can make that choice to transmute hate to love…..

Be Love.  Do the work….. and …..Heal.

And we will collectively heal.
